Guillermo del Toro’s 15 Most Haunting Artworks at LACMA—Monsters Galore!

Fans of filmmaker Guillermo del Toro know all about his mythical Bleak House, the home he keeps stocked full of artworks that fuel his fantastical imagination. Located in the suburbs of Los Angeles, del Toro has carefully crafted his collection to serve as inspiration for his dark, often gothic, films.

Movies like Pan’s LabyrinthHellboy, Cronos, Pacific Rim and Crimson Peak are just a small look inside the mind of Guillermo del Toro, but thankfully for Los Angeles residents, we’ve been able to see even more of the relics that spark his thought process. An exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is currently featuring some of the best works from del Toro’s personal collection at Bleak House, from artwork to life-size replicas of some of the monsters he’s designed.
