Logan Claws, Scraps, Scratches Way to Top of Revenue Charts

Around the corner – that means coming up this weekend, folks – are a few films that are sure to garner attention, given their popularity among reviewers. Maybe the biggest, baddest King Kong movie, Kong: Skull Island, is due out March 10 with a Rotten Tomatoes (RT) rating of 83 percent. Raw, an erotic import from Belgium is a coming of age horror film, wouldn’t you know, that was given an 89 percent approval rating, while oddball documentary My Scientology Movie has received tons of praise and a 93 percent RT approval rating.

If you like something even edgier, Personal Shopper may be the Kristen Stewart movie that many people have been waiting for – the one that isn’t oozing with adolescence, that is. It has a modest 65 percent RT score, but that may only mean that it went over a lot of reviewer’s heads. RT scores are indicative of popularity, not quality.
