Heard submitted a photograph of her bruised face as evidence in support of her restraining order request. She took the photo last Saturday after the couple had an altercation in their Los Angeles apartment.
A source stated that this “was only the latest incident,” and “prior incidents were worse.”
The same source said police reported to the scene on Saturday, and upon seeing the trashed house and Heard’s face, they encouraged her to make a statement. At the time, she chose to stay silent because she was still in shock over the situation.
Depp reportedly tried to offer Heard money to remain silent on his behavior.
The actor himself has kept fairly quiet on the divorce, but a representative issued a statement yesterday, saying, “Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
Heard has made a claim for spousal support, as well as the couple’s house and dogs.
