Spectre or the Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion is back and it’s up to James Bond to save the world!
That may be good news for audiences, but not so much for Bond, James Bond, the lady-killer spy with the cleft chin, British manners and impeccable suits.
You might also remember him as the most famous MI6 operative of all time or by his deadly code name, double aught seven.
Eon Productions is bring back the secret crime organization Spectre for the first time in a Bond film since the 1971 release of Diamonds Are Forever. Spectre was buried as kind of boring and dated, but they remain one of Bond’s most sinister cloak and dagger antagonists. These guys didn’t shake down your corner liquor store; they intimidate countries, even hemispheres. They are bad, bad, very bad.
This is the last trailer prior to the film’s release, which is scheduled for Oct. 26. It stars Daniel Craig in his fourth appearance as Bond, Christoph Waltz as Spectre’s Franz Oberhauser, Ben Whishaw as Q and Naomi Harris as legs and brains Eve Moneypenny. The screenplay is by John Logan, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and Jez Butterworth. It was directed by Skyfall director Sam Mendes.
